The article looks at current and emerging food allergy treatments and preventative strategies, including oral immunotherapy (OIT), dendritic cell therapy, and allergy patches and oral capsules.
On the topic of prevention, the piece references the 2017 finding from CHILD Study research that introducing allergenic foods, such as peanuts, eggs and milk, to infants early in life reduces their risk of developing an allergic sensitivity to those foods in later childhood.
