Dr. Anand’s present research focuses upon the environmental and genetic determinants of vascular disease in populations of varying ancestral origin, women and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Anand is a co-PI of projects “Early Life Determinants of Asthma” and “Deciphering the causes of metabolic syndrome in young children;” PI of the project “Understanding the impact of maternal and infant nutrition on infant/child health in the first 5 years of life;” and a co-investigator on “Gene and environment effects on lung health and risk for chronic respiratory disease, asthma and COPD”—all funded by CIHR.
