New staff at CHILD headquarters

The CHILD Cohort Study is pleased to announce the addition of several new staff members to its National Coordinating Centre (NCC) team, effective April 5, 2021.


Rebecca Dang joins the NCC as Research Assistant. Rebecca will support data entry and cleaning; manage and track administrative reviews of study proposals; facilitate data sharing; and support overall NCC operations.

Rebecca has a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from McMaster University and recently completed her M.Sc. in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Western University. She brings diverse research, communications and administrative experience to CHILD’s operations.

Kim Wright and Marshall Beck transition from their roles at AllerGen NCE where they have supported CHILD’s communications and knowledge mobilization efforts since 2013.

Kim assumes the position of CHILD’s Manager, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement.

Kim will oversee CHILD’s communications, knowledge mobilization and stakeholder engagement strategies. She will also support CHILD’s Access & Publications Committee (APC) to facilitate access to the Study’s data and biological samples, including resulting publications.

Marshall joins CHILD on a part-time basis as Digital Initiatives Manager.

Marshall will continue to oversee development of the Network’s online and digital content, including the CHILD website, and the production of diverse communications products and tools.
