Dr. Michelle Helm, Managing Director of the CHILD Cohort Study (CHILD) at McMaster University, has left her position with the Study effective 2 April 2024.
Dr. Helm served as CHILD’s Managing Director since June 2022. In her time at McMaster, Dr. Helm worked diligently to fully staff and manage the Study’s National Coordinating Centre (NCC) team, and to lead various major Study initiatives.
Among the initiatives advanced under her leadership were the further advancement of the Study’s database, CHILDdb; the Study’s 13-year round of visits (still underway); the organization with SickKids of an international birth cohort symposium; and various participant engagement activities.
