Jennifer and Vienna Geneve, mother and daughter participants in the CHILD Study, “are prime examples of the families who have made this study so powerful and so successful,” observes CHILD Study Co-Director Dr. Stuart Turvey in a new video from the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The video follows Vienna through a clinical visit with Dr. Turvey, and interviews her mother Jennifer on their motivation for participating in the Study. Dr. Stuart also speaks extensively about the importance of the Study, and in particular about a major discovery emerging from CHILD data that links the presence of specific bacteria in an infant’s gut with the risk of developing asthma.
